2010-2011 RULES NFL - 322
DAY- Tuesdays TIME - 5:00 PM
1-MANAGEMENT
The league will be sanctioned with the USBC through their local associations.
The league will consist of 32 teams with a playing strength of 3 bowlers.
The league board of directors, which consists of the officers and the team captains, shall manage this league. A majority of the board present shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business. The board shall adopt the league rules. All rule changes must be OK's by Bowl A Vard and Prairie Lanes. Any rule changes during the season must have a unanimous vote by the Board of Directors.
2-SCHEDULE AND LEAGUE FORMAT
The league will bowl at 4:50 pm practice and 5:00 pm start at Bowl A Vard and Prairie Lanes, on Tuesday nights for 24 weeks starting September 6th, 2011 and ending on February 14th, 2012. The league will bowl on lanes 1 - 16 at Prairie Lanes and lanes 25 - 40 at Bowl A Vard Lanes.
The format will be one round. 20 weeks total and 4 nights of playoffs.
3-FRANCHISE
The team franchise (team spot) is held by the team captain. Team captains must notify the league secretary of the team's intention to retain the spot for next season.
4-FEES, SALARY, ARREARAGES AND LEAGUE FUNDS
Sanction Fees: Men - $20.00 Women - $ 16.00
Each bowler will be charge $16 per night. Of this $10.25 is lineage and $5.75 goes into the prize fund.
Co - secretaries will each receive $250.00 from the prize fund. This shall be paid at the completion of the schedule unless the league board determines otherwise.
There will be an account in the name of the league with the Bowl-A-Vard in-house banking system. Withdrawals from the account may be made only with the joint authorization of at least two officers as designated by the league board of directors. The league president shall verify the account monthly.
5-Handicap
The team handicap will be 100% of 690.
6-team ROSTERS-SUBSTITUTES
Team rosters shall be limited to 7 bowlers. No Floating Subs are allowed.
7- ENTERING AVERAGES
Players will use their average of at least 9 games or more from the previous season in this league to figure out team handicap. New bowlers in the league will use their highest book average from the previous season. If a bowler does not have a book average they will establish an average from the 1st week, 3 - game series.
All incoming averages will be used for 9 games.
This also applies to subs.
Averages will be locked in as of the Position Night.
8-legal LINEUP AND TARDY BOWLERS
A legal lineup is 1 regular bowler. A tardy bowler has 3 frames until they are considered an absent bowler. If before the 1st ball of the 4th frame, they are allowed to make up the frames missed. No Pacing is allowed during any game.
9-ABSENTEE- AND-VACANCY SCORES
Absentee scores will be allowed when a team has a legal lineup, but less than a full lineup at the start of any game in a series. The absentee score will be the average minus 15 pins of the absent bowler.
When a team has an incomplete roster (vacancy on the team) a score of 150 shall be used and such score shall be used for determining handicap. (Blind Score is the same)
10-FORFEITURE, BYES, POSTPONEMENTS AND BOWLING UNOPPOSED
When a team is bowling in a known forfeit situation or bowling unopposed, the team must bowl within 90 pins of their team average to win the game point. If not, that point is in limbo.
11-POSITION STANDINGS
Teams wins and losses shall be on a handicap bases, Team position standings shall be determined on a 1 point system. A Tie is a tie (1/2 point given to each team)
12-PLAYOFFS & TIES
Playoffs will consist of bowlers with a minimum of 9 games bowled. The high seed will bowl the low seed all the way through the playoffs. Reseeded after each night of playoffs.
The Super Bowl must be played on the last night of bowling. Not before February 14th or after the 14th.
13- PRIZES AND ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for league awards a player shall have bowled 2l games.
14-MISCELLANEOUS
In case of mechanical breakdown, and match play has to be moved to another pair of lanes, all frames bowled will be transferred to the new lanes to be continued and all bowlers will get 1 frame of practice on each lanes before league play will continue.
In case of emergency, a team or league cannot be present, the board of directors will determine what to do. In case of inclement weather, a decision will be made no sooner than 4PM. Team captains will be notified if cancellation occurs.
The league banquet will be on 2/14/11 at Bowl A Vard Lanes.
Ring Estimates and '11 - '12 Prize List will be given to each team the first week of bowling and will be voted on by the team captains.

Hall Of Fame Committee - This will be voted on the first night. 2 people per each division will be elected and in charge of this for the '11-'12 season
